Day 1 : EUROPEAN CITY > CAPE TOWN
Upon arrival at the airport receive assistance with embarkation. Scheduled overnight flight to Cape Town. Dinner on board.

Day 2: CAPE TOWN
Breakfast on board, arrival and welcome by our local correspondent. Lunch.
Visit city: Founded in 1652, Cape Town is known as the ‘Mother City’ - the historical and cultural heart of South Africa. Visit the Castle of Good Hope, the Malay Quarter, or the ‘Bo-Kaap’, characterised by its mosques and very old original houses as well as Georgian- and Dutch- style architecture and buildings of Eastern influence. Take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain to discover one of the most spectacular panoramas in the world. Hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: CAPE PENINSULA
Breakfast. Visit the Cape Peninsula, stop at HOUT BAY, a picturesque fishing port and embark for a sea excursion towards Duiker Island (Seal Island). Then discover the Cape Point Nature Reserve, an area of 7.750 ha which has a profusion of indigenous flora and flora. Lunch. Visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, one of the richest in the world. Visit the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, which, with its many shops and restaurants, has revitalised a large section of the old Cape Town harbour. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: WINELANDS - CAPE TOWN / DURBAN (flight)
Breakfast. Travel by coach to STELLENBOSCH, the hub of the South African wine industry, is a historic town founded in 1679 boasting many magnificent examples of houses in the “Cape Dutch” style. It is famed for its charm and dolce vita. Continue towards  FRANSCHHOEK - the ‘French corner’ which is situated in an idyllic valley originally settled by French Huguenots and Dutch colonists  in the 17th century. Here, the ‘culture of the vine’ began in South Africa and succeeding generations of South Africans became masters in the making of fine wines, paying homage to France’s traditional vine cultivars and wine-making techniques.
Lunch and wine tasting of great vintages.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Durban. Welcome by our correspondent and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: DURBAN / HLUHLUWE (Zululand)
Breakfast.  Visit the port city of DURBAN, capital of KwaZulu-Natal with its two million inhabitants including 500 000 Indians. Places of interest include the Town hall, the bustling and colourful Indian market, its mosque and glorious botanical gardens. Seafood lunch. Depart for the heart of Zulu country. Continue towards Hluhluwe. Dinner. Introduction to Zulu rights and culture followed by spectacular performance of tribal dance. Overnight.

Day 6: HLUHLUWE / SWAZILAND
Breakfast. Morning safari in a 4x4 accompanied by an experienced ranger / guide. Hluhluwe is the oldest reserve in Africa, INTRO to over 80 species of mammal (lion, elephant, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, antelope, black rhinoceros) as well as some 425 bird species. Lunch in the reserve.
Proceed overland to the kingdom of SWAZILAND, a small independent state landlocked within South African territory. Here you will experience the amiable hospitality of the Swazi people and be inspired by breathtaking scenery. Hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: SWAZILAND / NELSPRUIT
Breakfast. Visit a Swazi craft market and candle factory in the morning. Lunch. Depart for the Kruger National Park. Arrive at Nelspruit. Hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 8: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast. Take a safari in a 4x4 in the KRUGER NATIONAL PARK which spans an area of 350 km by 60 km and shares a section of border with Mozambique. This park is an African Noah’s Ark with its 507 species of birds, 147 species of mammals and 50 species of fish. It is the kingdom of the elephant, and the hunting grounds of lion, leopard and cheetah.
Lunch at a camp during the safari. Return to Nelspruit. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: SWADINI / PILGRIM’S REST / GRASKOP
Discover the soaring peaks of the Drakensberg and the plains of the Western Transvaal. Travel by coach to the Blyde River Canyon, which, with its fantastic rock formations carved out by thundering waters over the eons, is one of the great natural wonders of South Africa.
Then visit PILGRIM’S REST, a museum town where a single street of restored wooden houses dates from the time of the Gold Rush at the end of the 19th century.
Hotel in the small town of Graskop. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: PILGRIM’S REST / PRETORIA
Breakfast. Depart for Pretoria. En route, visit an Ndebele village, created by a tribe famed for its adornment of buildings and artifacts with bold geometric designs emblazoned with vivid colours. Lunch. Proceed towards Pretoria, with a stop to visit the first diamond mine. Hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 11: PRETORIA / JOHANNESBURG / EUROPEAN CITY
Breakfast. Although it is the administrative capital of the country, PRETORIA has retained the peaceful atmosphere of a provincial town. Among its noteworthy monuments are the Union Buildings (where Nelson Mandela was inaugurated President in 1994), the Voortrekker Monument which commemorates the tumultuous history of the Great Trek with its ox wagon trains transporting pioneers from Cape Town to the far interior, and the beautiful Church public gardens.
Lunch at a restaurant specialising in game dishes such as kudu, crocodile and ostrich. Panoramic views of Johannesburg.
Transfer to the airport where you will receive assistance with embarkation. Scheduled overnight flight to Europe.

Day 12: > PARIS
Breakfast on board. Arrive in Europe in the morning. Take connecting flight INTRO.
